Joke

I have been “gently reminded” that not everyone may know or appreciate my sense of humor. I was told that those people may be slightly shocked that I would compare the DNC with Al Qaeda. For those that do not know my humor, please know that was a joke. For those who do not appreciate my humor, PTHPTHPTHPTHPTHPTHTPHT!

Here is one for you then:

Q: What is the difference between a Republican and a Democrat?

A: A Republican will, to your face, bribe you with your own money. A Democrat will, behind your back, bribe everyone else with your money.

You made a good point over at Simple Justice about the repeat joke comment.

I was going to add to your point (decided against it over there) that a really good comedian can repeat the same joke again to the same audiences and still get a laugh.

My point being, if someone has something truthful and important to say, it is worth repeating… and sometimes you can get some important truth out of humor like your Democrat and Republican joke.

Thanks, Karl.

There's a comedian I've seen who does a routine about his various run-ins with law enforcement. I've seen the performance from a couple of venues and it was just as funny the second time.

The nuanced differences I think added to the act.

He's famous but, being disconnected from a lot of pop culture, I don't know his name.

I don't get to read all of Scott's posts but when I manage one that interests me, I still wind up disagreeing with him half the time.

Thanks for the reply. - Shawn
